Blog Hair How To Spring Racing Glamour Wave Spring Racing Glamour Wave by Jess Longhurst Lacking inspiration for that perfect Spring Racing look? We have you sorted with a simple how-to created by Jess Longhurst, Salon Partner of Oscar Oscar Salons Robina and Redken Young Tribe member. Step 1: Section out the hair and apply Shu Uemura Ample Angora Volumising Light Foam to dry hair. Then blast with a hairdryer. Step 2: Pull out two sections of hair two inches wide from the top of the head down to the ear. Taking those two sections of hair tie up at the nape of the neck creating a sleek look at the front. Spray with Shu Uemura Sheer Lacquer. Step 3: Starting from the nape of the head working your way to the top, take approx. 1inch sized sections using the GHD Curve® Soft Curling Tong place the tong vertically at the root of the hair and rotate it 180 degrees away from the face. Allow it to heat 3-5 seconds and then allowing the hair to slip out whilst sliding it down the section of hair creating a twist. Repeating this the whole way down the hair section. Repeat this process working from the bottom to the top of the head. Gently smooth flyways with a soft brush. TIP: For thick hair use sectioning clips to assist with separating the hair. Step 4: With hair gently pulled back spray with hairspray. Ensure curls are completely cool before proceeding to ensure longevity. With a wide tooth comb brush out the hair starting from the ends and finishing at the roots. Apply a Shu Uemura Touch of Gloss to the hair for adding extra shine. Step 5: Add a hair crown, fascinator or hair accessory of choice to complete your Spring Racing look. We used Mimco Wonder Headband in Lipstick Red. Best of good Spring Racing luck and fortune!
